With the Simply Prayer Zoom group, our intention is to offer a way to gently touch base across the miles—praying together and mutually blessing our solidarity-at-a-distance. We begin with an opening prayer or chant, followed by 20 minutes of Centering Prayer. Afterwards, we read (twice) a brief reading from scripture or a contemplative teacher, then end with a closing prayer. Our rotating list of facilitators includes: Kathy Mendoza, Mary Williams, and Elena Andrews. These sessions last 30 to 45 minutes and do not include a time of sharing or discussion. We meet each Thursday at 9 AM Pacific Time.
